Orson Welles on loneliness

We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone.

That quote is so true. I can relate, though I am not necessarily alone in my day to day life. Actually, both Brett and I can relate, aside from one another, we both often feel alienated from those around us, our family, our communities. I have found that there aren't many people out there that share my interests and values, so true, good friendships are hard to find. I have a few good friends, but mostly due to our histories together, not common interest. It's sad sometimes, because while yes, in the end, we are alone, it sucks to feel that way while we are here. Sometimes the pursuit of knowledge can be a negative thing as one finds themselves so different snd isolated from those around us.
